For as long as I can remember, I have always been fascinated with how things work and so my main career has always involved making things or solving problems.
After leaving school, I completed a five-year apprenticeship as a stone carver with English Heritage and have since worked in London for various stone restoration companies for the past 25 years or so. It was during this time that I started working on the basic idea for the Landshark.
More recently, I have designed a new type of keyboard for touch-screen android mobile phones and other devices, this is called the Crocodile Keyboard is made up of triangular coloured keys.
I had a long running stone-carving contract at the Brighton Pavilion till 2011 and so while there decided to convert a single-decker bus into a mobile home to stay in rather than commute from London. I spent two months research and planning it, and a further four months having it converted.
In 2011 I ran into a major financial problem with HSBC wrongly registering a £9,000 default against my name, this was two weeks before being filmed for Dragons Den where I was seeking funding for the Crocodile Keyboard.
Because I was a litigant in person, (Could not afford a solicitor/barrister) I had a really rough time of it in court and lost. I decided to put up a website explaining exactly why I had accused HSBC of fraud and to show the most damning evidence which never made it to court. This website describing my experiences will hopefully help anybody else out in a similar situation when dealing with a nasty, scheming, unhelpful Bank.
